I am a Grandmother of nine and live on 3 acres of sloping land which looks over a lovely chain of dams, in a most beautiful mountain area in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. Being retired, it leaves me and my husband Sean, time for various volunteer jobs including one day a week as the Genealogist for a Maroochy Shire Council Library at the near by town of Nambour.
Whilst still working full time, I got in touch with many relatives by writing hundreds of letters. I did not realise then that I would become so involved in genealogy (my own as well as heaps of other peoples'). To this day, I still find it just as interesting and exciting as I did in the very begining.
I believe the very best and most interesting days of my research were when I was on the Fidonet Genealogical Bulletin Boards. We really got to know each other in those days and I still hear from many people from all around the world that I either met or spoke to over those very happy years.
Originally, I started out to find from which side of the family I had inherited my eye complaint keratoconus. Back in those days, very little was known about the disease, but now science shows that 1 in every 2,000-3,000 members of the population suffer from it, albeit in varying intensities.
Incidentally, I found it in my MILNE family who came from the Kincardine O'Neil area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Who says the Scots never give anything away!!
To introduce myself I am posting a photo taken on my sixtieth Birthday. My hubby Sean and I are surrounded by all our family. Two more grand kids since then!!We hope that you like it.

My Father's family - the MILNES - came predominantly from Aberdeenshire, on the North East Coast of Scotland, whilst my Mother's family - the LAWTONS - came from Lancashire in the North West of England, with a touch of Fife on the East Coast of Scotland, and Suffolk on the East of England, thrown in for good measure.
I am going to take you into some of the leading lines of my family , where I show details of their family events, in the hope that my pals may be able to help me with some further information from their own researches - especially on the MILNES and the CURRYS.The links which follow will take you to all this information.

This five generation Pedigree Chart will give a qick appreciation of where the Families which follow each fit in to my family tree. The Milnes, Bulls, and Howsons coming from my Father's side. The Lawtons,Morrisons and Priggs are from my Mother's side of the family.

If you enjoy this site, it is all thanks to my very dear buddy JIMMIE ROBERTSON who has made it all possible. I just supplied the info, he did all the very time consuming job of putting it all together, so I would like to dedicate this page to him and thank him profusely for his time and effort and, above all his friendship to both my husband and myself.
Please enjoy the opportunity which follows of browsing through a wide range of Genealogical Home Pages from around the world, when you are ready to do so. Just hit "Random" to get you going! You can feed a family Surname into the search box to see what comes up ! My Page is in GenRing !
