This is another of my maternal grandmother’s lines, that of her father, Daniel Morrison who also arrived in Australia on the ‘John & Lucy’, it was aboard this ship that he met the Prigg family and ended up marrying one of their daughters.

Daniel was from Fife, Scotland and, for many years, the family lived in the town of Strathmiglo. I have only been able to prove back to 1762. I have traced the Morrison family in Australia from Daniel’s marriage, down to the present day.

In the past 8 months I have made leaps and bounds with the research on this line in Scotland, USA, Canada, England and France, so much so that myself and 2 of my Scottish cousins, Margaret Robertson and Linda Teevan are going to hold a large Family Reunion in Scotland in July 2005.
