My ROBERTSON FAMILY

This is the story of my Robertson family which originated in the Parish of Kincaldrum in the early years of the 1800s. There are reasonable grounds for believing that the male line can be tracked back to Glenisla, partly through the emergence of the Stewart middle name for the two daughters of my Great Grandfather James Cooper Robertson, who spent his latter years managing a group of jute mills up river from Calcutta in India. This research into possible family roots in Glenisla continues.

ROBERTSON Family Members

Here is an INDEX which lists members of this family. It includes John Robertson and his wife Annie McGregor, both said to be from Kincaldrum,where John was stated to be a bleachfield worker. My only firm data on this couple comes from the death certificate of their son Alexander. Note the relationship references to myself which I have inserted here and there.
